Hello everyone!
This week was another good one. Lots of just jundoing on the streets, talking to people, rejection haha. But it's all good! We're struggling to find investigators right now, but the prepared ones are out there somewhere!
This week we had a pretty cool miracle. The sister investigator Sister 박나연(BakNayeon) got baptized a transfer before I got to this area. But she never came back. She blocked the sisters phone, and just basically dissappeared. So she never received the Holy Ghost! Her baptism wasn't even complete! That was maybe 12 weeks ago that this happened. Me and Elder Lee were on our way to Lotteria (equivalent of Burger King in America) to do our language study and a girl said Hello to us, which is weird. And it turned out to be that Sister. She said she had been busy and her boyfriend had made her block the missionaries. So we ended up talking for a bit and then going to Lotteria. While studying we called the Sisters and said get to the Market area, Baknayeon is there. And right after that she came in and started studying with us. And then the Sisters show up!! So We talk and the Sisters are able to get their phone unblocked and set up an appointment with her!
Unfortunately she had work at a coffee shop Sunday so she couldn't make it to church. But while we were doing music jundo by the river in our area she came and talked to Sister Johnson for like an hour. Afterwards Sister Johnson said that the BakNayeon is going to repent, and quite her job to come to church!! So next week she'll finally receive the gift of the Holy Ghost! Miracles do happen! When we follow the council of your leaders (like studying outside the house) and keep mission rules and the commandments is when the Lord blesses your work! I'm so grateful for the opportunity to come out here, and be a servant of the Lord, it is truly amazing!
The other fun thing was Music Jundo! Sister Johnson plays the guitar so we went down by the river where people hang out on Sunday evening and sang songs and talked to people! I hate singing in front of people, but I tried anyways and I was blessed. My fear immediately went away and I was able to feel the spirit so strongly while singing simple songs like I am a child of God. Families can be Together Forever. I love music, it has so much power, it can soften hearts. Even though we didn't find new investigators from it I'm sure it touched someone.
Ok and last but not least. We visited a big temple this morning as a district! It is called 해인사 Hae-een sa. It's a really special temple because it's where they keep all of the Buddhist Scriptures. So that was neat. We had a tour guide and everything. Pics included.
