Hello everyone! This week was super awesome! Got to do some exciting stuff.
The most exciting part was probably that I went on exchanges with Elder Bunker! Wells Bunker! It was super weird being with someone I've known since elementary school. He is super good. Super good at Korean, super Faithful. It was an awesome exchange. I went to 수성 Suseong for it. One of his investigators punked us so that stunk, but after that we met with a recent convert who I had met on exchanges here a week before Christmas when he was an investigator. We had met to postpone his baptismal date. Turns out that he ended up getting baptized in January, on my birthday!! It was super cool to see him again. He seems a lot happier than before. We got to teach about temples and Family history work and testify about blessings that come from the temple. It was awesome! Me and Elder Bunker talked a lot about prayer so that's what I want to share about. How to know if your prayer is sincere. We talked about how when you pray not just asking for blessings. Not saying "bless us to find someone" but telling God what you're going to do to get blessings. Saying " as we talk to everyone we see, help us find people" instead. Also we talked about after the prayer you should feel different. If your prayer was sincere you should have focused thoughts. Or have a desire to serve God. One thing I studied this week was all these famous prayers in the scriptures and what the people did afterwards. Enos goes and teaches the Lamanites after he prays for them (Enos 1) Solomon turns, blesses and teaches the people (1 Kings 19?) Ezra and all his people repent (Ezra 9?). These all have something in common. They got off their knees and did something. And that's what we should do after we pray. If our prayer was sincere we will get up and act. God hears our prayers. He will answer them if we pray with the intent to act. I know he will.
Another great thing that happened this week was that we picked up an old investigator. They dropped him last transfer or two transfers ago. His name his George. He's from Ghana. He is attending another church but it sounds like he likes our beliefs. I haven't met him cuz this happened on exchange. I'm going bowling with him today though.
We also have our investigator who's from Afghanistan. Janee. He has been reading and praying about the book of Mormon. We haven't met with him in a week but we called him and he's been reading. He's super cool.
Last P-day we went to a festival in our area, we did some cool stuff. All the old people wanted me and the Sister from America in my area to come do the traditional Korean games and wear hanbok. It was super fun, they also had cool traditional fan and sword dances. It was sweet.
But ya that was my week! Super good one! I hope y'all have a good one!
Remember to love everyone! Pray (sincerely) to find people to serve and then do it!
